Perilous!

Welcome to the fourth season of PERILOUS!
A few months ago, no one knew if this new
season would ever exist. There were no
scripts. No outline. No one knew what was
going to happen next in the extraordinary
adventures of Penelope Peril.

In the meantime, three brand new episodes
have been written by four people.

The first weekend of January 2012, the
scripts were finally completed. Monday
mornings, we finish casting. Tuesday
nights, cast and crew convene for our one
and only rehearsal of each episode.

PERILOUS! is a truly collaborative product.
The writers write, the director directs, the
tech staff works out lighting and sound, the
actors costume themselves, memorize their
lines and blocking, bring some props from
home and it all happens on whatever set and
light plot happens to be in the theatre at
the moment. Everyone pitches in and we all
hold on tight as this roller coaster we’ve
created takes us for one hell of a ride.

If you are there to see the Friday night
performance, you are seeing the first
performance of that episode. It has never
been seen altogether by anyone before. In
fact, it has never been done before.

If you are there to see the Saturday night
performance, you are seeing the second and
last performance of that episode. You are
the last people who will ever see it.

And if you come back the next week,
you will see a completely new episode – the
next installment of this original
mystery-serial-comedy, PERILOUS!
